Rain City

Last night it rained...

The sheer weight of the storm was incredible, and yet, when it rained, it rained so slowly. There was almost a peacefulness behind the violence of the downpour, a calmness and tranquility and even a bit of sorrow, tucked away behind that misunderstood ferocity that floods houses and tears trees apart.

Last night I couldn't sleep...until it began to rain.

Mad Forest

They say your work space reflects your current state of mind...

I sit here, between two white pillars, as they hold a once mighty guardian of the forest above my lap. Among me are empty glasses, a diary covered in dust, papers, money, little yellow reminders and empty promises, a lonely key, an empty wallet, and six half written songs which mark the extent of my accomplishment this year.
I sit here lost in a forest of my own shit

Spring is on its way...maybe I should clear out this dead landscape
